Eyeliner Aftercare Protocol

Days 1–5: Dry Healing

  • Keep the eyeliner area completely dry — no water, sweat, steam, makeup, or lotions.

  • Allow natural healing — no products yet.

Days 6–10: Begin Micro Balm

  • Apply a tiny amount of Micro Balm once daily in the morning.

  • Use a clean Q-tip each time and apply in a gentle rolling motion along the eyeliner line.

  • Throw away the Q-tip after each use — never double dip.

  • Continue for 5 days.

  • Absolutely no makeup around the eye area until fully healed (minimum 15 days).

Healing Rules (First 15 Days)

  • Dry healing is required. Keep eyeliner area dry at all times.

  • You will be provided with eye shields to protect during showers:

    1. Clean eyelid/forehead with 75% alcohol on a cotton round.

    2. Let dry completely.

    3. Remove white protective film from shield and secure above the lash line.

    4. Shields are single use only.

  • Wash hair only every 3–4 days.

  • No long, hot, steamy showers — keep it short and cool.

  • No baths, hot tubs, or saunas.

  • No workouts for 1–2 weeks — sweat can fade pigment.

  • No facials, Botox, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

Important Reminders

  • Use a fresh pillowcase.

  • Let any scabs or dry skin flake off naturally — picking causes scarring and pigment loss.

  • Avoid direct sun or tanning for 4 weeks. Always wear sunglasses/hat outdoors.

  • Avoid swimming, lakes, or hot tubs for 14 days.

  • No topical makeup, creams, or sunscreen on the eyeliner area during healing.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 14 days.

  • Limit showers to 5 minutes — keep face/procedure area out of water until the very end.

What to Expect

  • Eyeliner will appear 40–60% darker and bolder immediately after procedure.

  • Some swelling/redness is normal but usually minimal.

  • Around days 10–15, skin will shed naturally — pigment may appear faded or patchy.

  • Expect to lose 20–40% of color during healing.

  • Follow-up appointment is required to perfect color, add density, and ensure symmetry.

  • DO NOT pick at peeling skin — trust the healing process.

With proper prep and aftercare, your eyeliner tattoo will heal beautifully and last longer. Your follow-up ensures the perfect, polished finish.
